ProWave therapy delivers targeted acoustic waves directly to the source of pain, promoting natural healing and relief. Originally developed for lithotripsy to break up kidney stones, research has shown its effectiveness in treating orthopedic injuries. This non-invasive treatment requires no needles or surgery, with many patients experiencing noticeable improvement in just a few sessions. Using a handheld wand, ProWave precisely delivers shockwaves deep into tissues without significant adverse effects. As a safe and effective alternative to pain medication, some patients report relief after just one visit.

How Does ProWave Work And Reduce Pain?

Shock waves are high energy acoustic waves. During the treatment, this wave is focused through a lens and transmitted into the body, up to a depth of 4.7″. The shock waves interrupt pain pathways of inflamed nerves while stimulating cells and the body’s intrinsic healing mechanism. This leads to restoration of healthy functioning of cells and brings new blood flow to the area to encourage natural healing.

What Is ProWave Therapy?

Generally, three (3) to five (5) sessions are necessary at weekly intervals. Treatment sessions take approximately 5-10 minutes depending on the type of problem area that is being treated.

What are the possible side effects/complications?

The non-invasive ProWave treatment is safe, with minimal risk and virtually no side effects. Some patients may experience mild discomfort during the procedure. However, ProWave therapy is not recommended for individuals with bleeding disorders, active malignancies, or those who are pregnant.
